Many of us carry some form of emergency roadside assistance for our motorized vehicles. Did you know that you can also obtain a similar service for your bicycle? Companies such as AAA and Better World Club now offer options for comprehensive bicycle insurance that is in many ways similar to auto insurance. For example, a member with a disabled bicycle may call a hotline number and assistance will be dispatched to either deliver the necessary tools to fix your bike or transport you and your bicycle to your desired destination. There is also optional theft and damage protection available. For those of us who rely on our bicycle as a form of transportation, bicycle insurance may be a valuable new resource.
