Leonor Fuller – We Treat You Like Family
Leonor has been working as an attorney at Fuller & Fuller since 1991. She was awarded Juris Doctor, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Washington. Leonor has also studied in Spain at the University of Seville. Leonor taught Spanish and English as a Second Language at the University of Washington.
Over the course of her legal career, Leonor has served as a criminal prosecutor and an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Seattle Law Department. She has argued cases in municipal, district, superior, and appellate courts. Leonor has tried close to 80 jury trials in criminal and civil cases and has tried hundreds of criminal bench trials.
Currently, Leonor devotes her time to helping people and families with injury cases. Leonor understands that when people contact her law firm, they are going through a challenging and disruptive time in their lives. Leonor is committed to helping clients work through the daunting and complex aspects of insurance law.
Leonor strongly believes in the importance of giving back to the community. She has volunteered countless hours in leadership positions in many professional and community organizations. She served as the Chair of the Women of Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ), an organization that works to protect the rights of her clients. Leonor was also one of the original board members of the WSAJ Foundation, which supports WSAJ’s work in appeals of cases that benefit people like her clients.
Governors Locke and Gregoire appointed Leonor to the Board of Trustees of South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC), a five member board that oversees different aspects of governance for the college and its students. Leonor was elected twice as Chair of the Board of Trustees of SPSCC and is one of the longest serving community college trustees in the state.
Leonor is a loyal UW Husky and remains active and engaged in her law school as a member of the University of Washington School of Law Leadership Council, an advisory board to the law school.
Leonor has also been a leader in the arts community of Thurston County. She was appointed by the Olympia City Council to serve on the Olympia Arts Commission, where she was elected Chair of the Commission. Leonor has also served on the board of the Olympia Symphony.
In honor of Leonor’s advocacy for the arts and education, the Board of Trustees of South Puget Sound Community College unanimously voted to name the college’s art gallery The Leonor R. Fuller Gallery.
Her leadership roles on both the state and local level have inspired Leonor to mentor future leaders as a member of the Board of Regents of the Leadership Thurston Council, a board that oversees a program that educates and develops future community leaders in the South Puget Sound region.
Leonor is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Thurston County Bar Association, and the Washington State Association of Justice. She is admitted to practice in the United District Court (Western Washington) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Leonor also has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar Association.
Leonor is married to Jay Fuller, another attorney in the firm. They have two sons. Their oldest son is an attorney in Seattle, and their younger son works in the finance sector. Leonor is fluent in Spanish and Tagalog, the language of the Philippines, and she loves to brush up on her French, Italian, and Portuguese. Her hobbies include photography, enjoying the arts, stand up paddling, biking, and travel.
