The first day of school for Washington State is quickly approaching.  During the summer, drivers have not needed to be as attentive to school zones.  Now that school is upon us, please take a moment to look carefully along your driving route for schools and daycare centers.  This simple step will protect both children and your driving record.

Some school zones have signs with flashing lights to alert drivers, but many do not.  If there is a school zone in your area that needs additional support, grant opportunities are available at the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.  Learn more at http://www.wtsc.wa.gov/programs-priorities/school-zones.
